Speaker Nabih Berri was quoted on saying on Wednesday that the best “weapon to address the challenges and dangers is the unity among the Lebanese people.”

Berri’s comments were quoted by MPs following their weekly meeting in Ain el-Tineh.

“Holding a meeting with Prime Minister Saad Hariri and MP Walid Jumblatt aims at strengthening this unity and does not target anyone,” he added.

This as Berri received Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouq whereby talks reportedly featured high over the parliamentary elections and the vote law.

“Speaker Berri is open to all discussions in this regard,” Machnouq stressed following the meeting.
