Israeli military says Hezbollah fired rockets at troops in South Lebanon, launch site targeted

The Israeli army said that Hezbollah fired several rockets toward Israeli soldiers stationed south of the forward defense line in the Rab Thalathine area of southern Lebanon.

In a statement, the military said it responded by striking the rocket launch site.

The army added that, contrary to an earlier report of a misidentification, further investigation indicated that sirens in the areas of Kfar Yuval and Ma’ayan Baruch were likely triggered after a drone launched from Lebanon was intercepted before crossing into Israeli territory.

The military said the rocket fire constitutes a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire agreement.
