REPORT: Agriculture Minister grants licenses to import goods at expense of local produce

The farmers’ protests to protect their agricultural produce are not limited to prevent smuggling operations that take place through the open Lebanese-Syrian borders.

The farmers are also calling to put an end to the licenses issued by the Agriculture Ministry allowing the importation goods from abroad into Lebanon.
