Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s resignation from Saudi Arabia, does it violate the Constitution or no?
A question that raised a constitutional debate between a party that considers Hariri’s resignation not valid since he did not submit a letter of resignation to President Michel Aoun, and another saying that the resignation took place and the cabinet assumed its caretaking duties.
Head of the Administrative and Justice Committee MP Robert Ghanem said that the results of Hariri’s resignation entered into effect once he announced it, since the Constitution did not mention the required place and form of resignation.
