Nasrallah: We are facing a “blatant American aggression”

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah confirmed Thursday that, “the Israeli enemy does not respect international resolutions, charters, and agreements,” adding that “we feel like we are up against another Balfour Declaration after US President Donald declared Jerusalem capital of Israel.”

In a televised speech, he noted that the Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem are now in danger, especially Al Aqsa Mosque.

“What is the fate of Palestinians living in Jerusalem? What will be the fate of their properties; will they be seized or destroyed?”

Nasrallah pointed out that “all countries refused this decision and do not support it,” stating that Trump does not listen to any one and does not respect any one, whether his allies or the International Community.

“All Arab officials and nations shall clearly understand that through Trump’s decision, they mean nothing to the US government.”

Hezbollah chief reiterated that “we are facing a blatant American aggression against Jerusalem and its people, holy places, and its cultural identity,” considering that calling for demonstrations, protests, holding meetings, and issuing declarations are important to express refusal of this American decision.

He also urged governments to “summon the US ambassadors in the Arab and Islamic countries to formally protest against the US decision.”

The Shiite leader stressed that “the least that can be done is to fire the Israeli ambassadors and to put an end to the process of normalization that have already started with Israel.”

He suggested a Palestinian and Arab declaration to stop all negotiations until the US withdraws its decision.

Nasrallah called for a public demonstration in the southern suburb of Beirut saying: “We have to protest against this unjust American aggression and to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.”
