Abou Fadi denies via LBCI involvement in pilgrims’ abduction

LBCI interviewed “Abou Fadi” in the outskirts of the Turkish town of Govchi to discuss the fires recently set by the Free Syrian Army in the mountains surrounding Kherbat al-Joz, his hometown.   
Abou Fadi maintains that those fires aimed at deterring Syrian insurgents from infiltrating into their town from Turkey.       

Mohammad Abd al-Wahhab (Abou Fadi) learned on Wednesday morning that he is a suspect in the abduction of the 11 Lebanese pilgrims.      

Commenting on the news, al-Wahhab voiced surprise that fingers are pointed at him, explaining that “those who carried out the abduction must be well acquainted with Syria’s lands and know the distance separating each of its towns.”    

Speaking on accusations that the FSA is behind the abduction, Abou Fadi gives a different account of the incident:

Mohammad Abd al-Wahhab explained that he has been in the Turkish town for a long time and that this is not his first TV appearance, adding that the singer Asalah had used an interview with him, conducted by an Arab satellite station, in a video clip showing support of the Syrian revolution.
