Ferzli to LBCI: Many files will be tackled during next Cabinet’s session
Former Deputy-Speaker of Parliament Elie Ferzli said on Sunday that several vital files will be tackled during next week’s Cabinet session, mainly the oil and elections issues.
 
Ferzli’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he voiced support to the dissociation policy, noting however that he backs also the ”deterrent equation that safeguards the country and prevents Israel from carrying out any aggression.”
 
On another note, Minister Pierre Bou Assi made a phone called the show to comment on the video circulated on social media platforms showing a leader of the Iraqi paramilitary group on Lebanon’s border with Israel.
 
Bou Assi said that the video is an aggression against the Lebanese sovereignty because the visit took place without consulting the Lebanese government and people.
 
The head of an Iran-backed Iraqi Shi'ite militia has visited Lebanon's border with Israel accompanied by allies from the Lebanese group Hezbollah, a video released on Saturday showed.
 
Qais al-Khazali, leader of the Iraqi paramilitary group Asaib Ahl al-Haq, declared his full readiness "to stand together with the Lebanese people and the Palestinian cause" in the face of the "Israeli occupation", according to video footage widely circulating on social media.

As for the protest taking place in Metn’s Awkar against US President Donald Trump’s decision over Jerusalem, Bou Assi reiterated the rejection of the Lebanese Forces to Trump’s decision, adding that the US administration “is the biggest loser from this decision.”
 
Bou Assi concluded by reiterating support to the Palestinian people.
