Cabinet approves advancement of the spending value of 10,394 billion LBP

The Cabinet approved on Thursday the advancement of the spending value of 10,394 billion LBP and the advancement of the spending value of 150 billion LBP for development projects in the areas of Tripoli. It also approved an advanced spending value of 450 billion LBP for development projects in many regions.       

At the beginning of the cabinet session held at Baabda Palace on Thursday, President Michel Suleiman shed the light on the importance of dialogue as it “includes different Lebanese parties “. Suleiman explained that when Lebanese leaders meet, stability is enshrined.      

Suleiman called for activating the government’s work, fulfilling the citizens’ urgent needs and re-launching development projects.         

Suleiman informed the ministers of the result of his Gulf tour and his discussions regarding the Arab countries that banned their citizens from visiting Lebanon. Suleiman also said that he can help in the release of the Lebanese men abducted in Syria.      

Suleiman praised the appointment of a new Higher Judicial Council, adding the judiciary must accelerate the settlement of pending issues. Suleiman called for carrying out investigations to disclose the circumstances of Arsal’s incident.        

The president stressed the necessity to complete the logistic preparations for the sub-elections in Koura to choose the successor of late MP Farid Habib.
