REPORT: Cabinet approves expansion of Costa Brava landfill

The Cabinet approved on Thursday to expand the Costa Brava landfill and to establish a new reprocessing plant.

For his part, Prime Minister Saad Hariri said during the session hat the ongoing disputes over the reforms of the new electoral law are “time-consuming.”

He however voiced support to any reform that enhances transparency and integrity of the parliamentary elections.

Hariri also noted that any disputes will not hinder the holding of the polls.

As for the electricity crisis, Hariri said that sit-ins and strikes have become a tool to “punish” the Lebanese people, adding that the workers’ rights must be discussed in places other than the street.
