Maronite bishops hold annual assembly headed by Rai

Maronite bishops arrived on Monday morning in the Patriarchal Palace in Bkirki to hold their annual assembly headed by the Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rai, in the presence of Cardinal Mar Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir and bishops from Lebanon and other countries.

The assembly will last till Saturday June 16 when a final statement will be issued tackling all the issues that were discussed. In addition, new bishops will be elected to replace those who reached the legal age.
