President Michel Aoun informed United Nations Under-Secretary General of the need to prevent Israel from building a concrete wall along the border before correcting the 13 points subject of reservations by Lebanon over the blue line.
He noted that “the continuous Israeli violations to the UN resolution 1701 hold the International Community responsible for forcing Israel to put an end to these violations, especially that Lebanon is committed to the resolution in all its items.”
On another note, the president called on the unions of land transportations to cancel the strike scheduled for the 1st of February, noting that he will address their demands during the upcoming cabinet session.
