Hezbollah comments on Bassil’s statements against Berri

Hezbollah issued on Monday a statement whereby it criticized the leaked statements made by Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil against Speaker Nabih Berri.

"We completely reject the remarks insulting Speaker Nabih Berri," Hezbollah noted, highlighting the party’s “admiration and respect” to Berri.

"This rhetoric neither builds a state nor achieves reforms; it creates instead more tensions, divides ranks and drags the country to unnecessary risks," the statement added.

"We call to address this situation immediately, with the highest sense of wisdom and responsibility," it concluded.
