Macron tells Trump and Pezeshkian that ceasefire decision was the best option

French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday that he spoke with both Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and U.S. President Donald Trump, telling them that their decision to accept a ceasefire was the best course of action.

In a post on X, Macron added that he hopes all warring parties fully respect the ceasefire across all conflict zones, including Lebanon.

He also noted that any agreement between the two countries must address concerns over Iran’s nuclear and missile programs, its regional policies, and actions that disrupt navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
