Patriarch Rai: Leaders must put Lebanon’s interests first
Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Sunday that Lebanese leaders must put the country’s interests on top of their priorities.
Rai’s comments were made during his Sunday’s sermon in Bkerke whereby he noted that the Lebanese leaders must bear their responsibilities in order to provide the Lebanese people with all their needs.
He also called them to stop their theft and bribery, urging them to introduce a series of reforms and to deploy efforts to achieve economic growth.
“Leaders must improve economy and decrease the high cost of living,” he added.
