REPORT: Information Ministry is now Ministry of Communication and Dialogue

Minister of Telecommunication Melhem Riachi said on Tuesday that the name of the ministry will turn into the Ministry of “Communication and Dialogue.

Riachi’s comments were made during a press conference whereby he noted that he will “set a structure for media figures to stand by them until the adoption of the new syndicate of editors in the Parliament."

The minister also noted that the communication with the Lebanese people will be on a daily basis, through a phone application. This application will have a category on the National News Agency’s website.

As for the Tele Liban dossier, The Minister those who had passed the Tele-Liban competition do not have political affiliations.

"The reasons behind the obstructions that have been taking place will be announced in due time," he concluded by saying.
