Abboud: Lebanon is fine, wants to stay distanced from surrounding events
The Ministry of Tourism invited a number of British journalists to visit Lebanon and its touristic sites, and to make sure that Lebanon is calm and safe.

In this context, Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud stressed that Lebanon wants to stay away from the surrounding events, and that the majority of the Lebanese people believe that civil war is not a solution.

Abboud made his comments during a joint press conference he held with the British ambassador to Lebanon Tom Fletcher, within the Lebanese-British week.

Abboud also said that Lebanon is totally fine, considering it an integral part of the Middle East. Abboud pointed that he will be headed to the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, and then he will visit all the countries that alerted their nationals not to travel to Lebanon. Abboud is willing to reassure those countries that Lebanon and Beirut are totally fine.
