REPORT: President Aoun says fighting corruption is a necessity

President Michel Aoun asserted on Monday that corruption in the state’s administrations is a facet of general corruption, stressing importance of fighting it.

“Corruption harms the citizens' confidence in their official institutions and impairs the progress of work,” Aoun added during the opening of the Digital Transformation Conference 2018.

He also noted that Ogero has declared lately its new strategy to develop the internet sector, adding that such a project, if implemented, means that Lebanon has made a giant step to establish a new economy that opens new horizons.
