Child seriously injured after stray dog attack in Doueir
A four-year old Syrian child identified as Ahmad Abou Layla is receiving medical treatment inside the intensive care room at the Nabih Berri University Hospital in Nabatieh after being attacked by a stray dog in the town of Doueir.
 
The medical team is working on preventing any complications in the health of the child due to the severe injuries that he sustained in his head and body.
 
This as two other Lebanese nationals were attacked by stray dogs in the town of Doueir. They were identified only by their initials as: F. A. and child Hamza. Z.
 
Doueir head of municipality Ibrahim Ramal said that the municipality contacted the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and a number of institutions that take care of animals in order to deal with this issue.
 
He also added that an Agriculture Ministry delegation inspected the body of the stray dog and took samples to do the necessary tests.
 
Ramal concluded by saying that the municipality is conducting a survey on the stray dogs in the town, adding that the municipality will not kill any dangerous dogs.
