Women rally for citizenship law in Beirut downtown
“My Nationality is My Dignity” Campaign staged on Sunday a sit-in in Beirut downtown on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
The protesters demanded the ability for Lebanese women to pass their citizenship to their children.
They also called on the new candidates for the parliamentary elections to put a draft law that enables them to pass their citizenship on their top priorities.
The protesters concluded their sit-in by calling on all mothers to vote only for the candidates that support their cause.
