Minister Hassan Khalil: Lebanon is facing a crisis, but is not a bankrupt state

Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil stressed from the Parliament that the budget will be passed within the constitutional deadlines and according to the norms, stressing that there were no expenses outside the framework of the budget.

 

“Form the moment I was assigned to the Finance Ministry, I decided to unify the issue of the exemptions allowed to a minister,” he said.

 

“We are ready as a cabinet to introduce the needed amendments to any expense that may be presented or any returns that may be added,” the minister added, noting that Lebanon stands before a crisis on debt growth; however; Lebanon is not a bankrupt state, but respectful of all of its commitments.
