Youssef: Banque du Liban accounts lawfully registered

MP Ghazy Youssef said on Tuesday that 270 grant accounts were opened in Banque du Liban, in the name of 22 Lebanese ministries, the Lebanese treasury and 3 public institutions, noting that these accounts are registered in accordance with the law, despite the claims of Finance minister and the Free Patriotic Movement.

During a press conference held in the Parliament, in the presence of Future bloc MPs, Youssef said that the head of Change and Reform bloc, MP Michel Aoun, has accused previous cabinets of steeling and stashing these grants. Youssed added that these accusations confirm that FPM is acting vindictive manner since the start the reconstruction drive in 1993. Youssef stressed that the grants allocated for the Ministry of Energy reached 3.9 billion USD.
