Speaker Nabih Berri called for being warned by the aggressive statement launched by Israeli army’s chief of staff and the Israeli attacks and provocations, including the recent violation for the Lebanese sovereignty when a surveillance drone crashed on South Lebanon.
Speaking during Wednesday’s deputies gathering, the MPs cited Berri as saying that he conducted a series of calls with international leaderships and the president in order to confront any Israeli aggressive policy.
The gathering also tackled the parliamentary elections, where the deputies quoted Berri’s displeasure over the violations taking place in terms of sending money in electoral districts and regions, calling for putting an end to such acts and behaviors.
“A numbers of gaps were found in the new electoral law, there is a need to update the law during the upcoming phase,” he reiterated.
