Bringing Prime Minister Saad Hariri, MP Walid Jumblatt and Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea together in a closed meeting with envoy of Saudi King Salman Nizar al-Aloula and Saudi Embassy Charge d’affaires Walid al-Bukhari was considered by the Saudis as an achievement on the Lebanese scene and the first step toward the restoration of balance on the political scene, mainly because the three leaders are the pillars of what once was March 14 alliance.
Sources said this move has been previously planned by the Saudis.
