Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said on Monday that talks about a demographic change in any Lebanese region are unjust, trivial, provocative and baseless talks.

“We seek a true partnership between the Muslims and Christians,” Nasrallah said during a televised speech.

As for the controversy surrounding the offering of head of the Federation of Municipalities of Keserwan-Ftouh Joan Hbeish thee key to the city of Keserwan to him, Nasrallah said that the key of Jbeil and Keserwan will always be in the hands of President Michel Aoun and Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai.

“Some political forces subsist on sectarian strife instead of bringing people together,” Hezbollah chief added.

On another note, Nasrallah said that his party preferred that the elections would be based on the proportional law with the entire country as one electoral district or with major electoral districts.

He concluded by saying that the Resistance completes the Lebanese Armed Forces and is a stability factor for Lebanon and does not pose a danger on it.
