Hundreds protest in Tahrir Square as election results remain undisclosed

Hundreds of protesters continued their fight in Cairo's Tahrir Square on Thursday amidst growing uncertainty over ousted President Hosni Mubarak's health.

The Supreme Election Committee has spent four days rounding up figures from the two-day run-off ballot in the country's first presidential elections between Mohamed Morsy, the Muslim Brotherhood candidate, and Mubarak's former PM, Ahmed Shafik.

The committee said it would miss the target of announcing the results today, as it was going through hundreds of complaints from both sides. The parliament remains shut down with soldiers guarding the building. Election results are yet to be announced. .
