Bassil to LBCI: Speaker Berri did not acknowledge us
Head of Free patriotic Movement and Foreign Affairs Minister Gebran Bassil said on Thursday that the proportional law was not “his first choice,” adding that the FPM is present in all electoral districts.
Answering a question during an interview with LBCI’s “Akher Kalima” talk show hosted by journalist Nada Andraos Aziz, Bassil noted that the FPM would name Prime Minister Saad Hariri again as a premier in case he garnered a popular majority.
“As for Speaker Nabih Berri, he did not acknowledge us despite the fact that we have a popular majority,” Bassil added.

As for Marada Movement leader Sleiman Frangieh calling President Michel Aoun “to kill his son-in-law,” Bassil noted that the he does not understand “the language of murder,” adding however that opponents can have their political differences and disputes without killing each others.
As for the Syrian refugees crisis, Bassil stressed that the current situation will change after the parliamentary elections.
Bassil concluded by calling on the Lebanese people to vote for the FPM if they want them to continue what they have started.
