The Grand Mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Abdul Latif Derian, asserted on Sunday that today’s elections is a national and democratic merit by excellence.

“I call on everyone to cast their votes for the interest of Lebanon,” he said after voting.

“Whoever that will be elected must deserve to represent Beirut and Lebanon,” he added.
