Free Patriotic Movement’s chief, Minister Gebran Bassil stressed that the electoral law helped in the election of 52 or 53 deputies by true Christian representation, noting that this law, which was not their first choice, deserve to be repeated and improved “without going backwards.”
Following the first meeting of “Strong Lebanon” bloc, Bassil pointed out that using the political money in our community is a political crime that resembles political arms in previous stages, adding that adopting clear pact standards and absence of an obstructing intention can guarantee the swift formation of a new government.
“Our popular representation has increased since 2009 and the size of our bloc has increased to 29 deputies, the number of our partisan deputies increased from 10 to 18 and our representation widened to cover 12 and more constituencies,” he stated, adding that their hand will be extended for everyone in any future process.
