The head of the Democratic Gathering MP Walid Jumblatt posted on his twitter account saying that “the Palestinian Nakba has started in Palestine since one hundred years when Jerusalem was occupied by British General Edmund Allenby in December 1917. Then the Arab Palestinian people faced repeated Nakbas, starting with the declaration of the state of Israel in 1948, to the occupation of the West Bank in 1967 and the resettlement, up until today with the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.”
