The “Strong Lebanon” bloc met Monday with appointed PM Saad Hariri within the parliamentary consultations conducted prior to the cabinet formation.
Following the meeting, the bloc’s head MP Gebran Bassil declared that the bloc called for including the Alawite and Syriac sects in the government, stressing that no one has the right to hold on to a specific ministry.
“The time has come for the “Strong Lebanon” bloc to be given either interior or finance ministries, in addition to other main ministries,” he added.
In the same context, sources from the bloc told LBCI that they are demanding 6 ministries, including either interior or finance, apart from the president’s share.
