Contract public school teachers hold strike in Riad El Solh square
Contract teachers at public schools presented on Wednesday a memorandum of demands whereby they called for the approval of their demands, chief among which their right to be granted tenure. They also called for raising the minimum wage, approving the public sector’s salary scale, enjoying social and health insurance and being granted transportation allowance.

The teachers also called for participating in official exams’ supervision and in parliamentary and municipal elections.
