Al-Sadr calls on Iraqi government to release Daqduq
Shiite Leader Moqtada al-Sadr called on the Iraqi government on Wednesday to “immediately” release Ali Daqduq, who is believed to be Hezbollah activist and a suspect in American soldiers’ killings.

Earlier, Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s media adviser Ali al-Moussawi noted that Daqduq’s case is a legal issue, not political. He added that the case is in the hands of the judiciary.
