President of Central Council of the Maronite Societies, Wadih Khazen cited on Friday Speaker Nabih Berri as saying that Lebanon urgently needs a new government to save the economy from deteriorating, and to put an end to the concerns overwhelming the Lebanese people.
He added that they should take into consideration the importance of having a positive relationship with Syria, after the re-opening of the Nassib crossing at the border with Jordan, stressing the need to relieve the farmers from the hardship they face when exporting their products by sea.
Berri said that the Russian delegation’s visit to Lebanon yesterday is an important turning point in the Syrian crisis.
Khazen noted that they agreed upon the necessity of finding common ground in order to form a cabinet “that hopefully will see the light soon because the current situation doesn’t bear any more stalling.”
