Jumblatt receives Emirati and Saudi envoys

Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblatt received on Wednesday in Clemenceau the Emirati ambassador to Lebanon Hamad Said al-Shamisi and Saudi Charge d’Affaires Walid al-Bukhari.

The two envoys conveyed to Jumblatt their condolences for the attacks in Syria’s Sweida.

The Islamic State group staged a sudden coordinated attack on the city of Sweida and nearby villages from a separate pocket about 65 km (40 miles) from Deraa, killing more than 200 people including many civilians, and seizing some women as hostages.
