Chatah to LBCI: I call for setting a national strategy that protects Lebanon

The advisor to former PM Saad Hariri and former Minister Mohammad Chatah told Nharkom Said on Sunday that the state’s prestige is now on the brink of the abyss, as incidents can be used in many ways and for different purposes.

Chatah called for setting a national strategy to protect Lebanon and to support the prerogatives of the security apparatuses that “are assuming their role to the fullest.”

Chatah considered that the government of national unity is a bad choice, adding that a consensus can be reached to establish an impartial government trusted by all.

On the killing of Sheikh Ahmad Abdul Wahed and his companion, Chatah said that there are good reasons to submit this case to the Judicial Council “given its national and sectarian repercussions”.
