Mouallem: Relationship equation with Beirut will change

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem asserted on Sunday that Syria is looking forward for good relations with its neighboring countries.

Mouallem’s comments were made during an interview with Russia Today whereby he said that the relationship with President Michel Aoun and other Lebanese forces are good.

“But the relationship equation with Beirut will change,” he added.

As for the return of Syrian refugees, Mouallem said that the West is preventing the return of Syrians to their homeland “by making them fear for their lives.”

“We are coordination with Russia over the return of refugees and we have welcomed thousands of them,” he stressed by saying.

“Linking this issue with the political process in Syria hinders their return,” he concluded by saying.
