Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri hoped Tuesday to form the cabinet once President Michel Aoun returns from Yerevan, noting that the economic and social situation necessitate its swift formation.
During a chat with reporters, Hariri said that there are concessions from all sides, including the Free Patriotic Movement, pointing out that the obstacles are on the way to be resolved.
“As I said, the cabinet will be formed within ten days and I am optimistic after my meeting with President Aoun,” he said, adding that in case he apologized from forming the cabinet, he will not accept to be designated again.
On another note and answering a question about US sanctions against Iran affecting Hezbollah, he said that “Lebanon is not Iran and Iran is not Lebanon.”
