Aoun meets with Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister
President Michel Aoun met on Tuesday with Iraqi Foreign Affairs Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari at the Baabda Presidential Palace.
Following the meeting, Aoun praised the opening of the Nassib border crossing.
“The challenges that the Arab nations are currently facing require their solidarity,” he added.
He also voiced hopes that the Boukamal border crossing would return to its normal activity.
For his part, al-Jaafari praised Aoun’s stances, reiterating Iraq’s support to Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence.
