EDL responds to Greenpeace report on pollution in Jounieh

After Greenpeace published a study in which it ranked Jounieh the fifth most polluted city in the Arab world and the report focusing on nitrogen dioxide as a main element of air pollution, as well as stating that the Zouk power plant is among the factors causing said pollution, the Electricité du Liban Company issued a statement, saying that it has already implemented measures to reduce the levels of nitrogen dioxide and other pollutants emitted by the plant.

The company also said that the levels currently emitted fall within the criteria set by the Environment Ministry.
