Families of Islamist inmates stage sit-in

Families of the Islamist inmates staged on Friday a sit-in in the southern city of Sidon, demanding a general amnesty for their loved ones.

This as the wife of hardline cleric Ahmad al-Assir called for serious action to implement the general amnesty.

For his part, Sheikh Khaled al-Arefi called for forming a new Cabinet in order to tackle the general amnesty issue.
