Ministry of Health staff protests against low wages
The Ministry of Health staff carried out a sit-in on Tuesday in front of the ministry’s building to demand the correction of wages in the public sector.

They called for the government to respond to their demands, indicating that they will continue their movement “since their cause is a just one”.

Minister of Health Ali Hassan Khalil agreed with the protesters on their issue saying that is a right that must be preserved by peaceful means. He added that they can not be asked to work intensively under low pensions and limited services.

In his concluding remarks, Khalil said that there are defects in the salaries of the public administration that must be corrected.
