Hasbani meets with a WHO delegation

Caretaker Minister of Health Ghassan Hasbani met on Thursday with a World Health Organization delegation.

The delegation is visiting Lebanon to conduct a survey on local drug factories and on the quality control mechanisms established by the Ministry of Health.

The visit comes upon the request of the ministry and the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Industries in Lebanon to seek the opinion of independent experts regarding the level and quality of locally manufactured medicines, as well as to propose mechanisms to support the Lebanese pharmaceutical industry and to strengthen its presence in the Lebanese, Arab and International markets.

This as the delegation will visit Beirut again in the beginning of 2019 to continue the survey of the remaining factories.
