Number of newly-employed in public sector exceeds 5,000 in a state facing financial difficulties

Based on the admission of several parties, the year 2018 has witnessed the return of employment at the state’s institutions and administrations, despite a previous decision banning such recruitment.

In a state witnessing financial difficulties, the employment in the public sector continues no caring about the burden it would impose on the treasury.

More than 5 thousand people were employed, 2500 to 3000 among them were recruited within the military corps, including the Lebanese Armed Forces, Internal Security Forces, General Security and State Security.

According to a report by Information International, those who were employed for civil duties were as follows: 1800 in municipalities, 800 in Ogero and 600 in service provider companies, while the rest in ministries and public administrations.
