Machnouq: Procedures must be taken ahead of next week storm

Caretaker Minister of Interior Nouhad Machnouq said on Thursday that the Ministry of Public Works decided to take temporary and urgent procedures on the Dbayeh, Jezzine and Chekka roads in order to prevent the chaos that happened during the storm Norma.

Machnouq’s comments were made from Bayt al-Wasat after a ministerial meeting whereby he stressed necessity to take several procedures in preparation for the new storm that will hit Lebanon next week.

On another note, he noted that the security forces will not allow any vehicle to take the Faraya and Daher al-Baydar roads starting from Sunday evening until the end of the storm unless it is equipped with metal chains.
