Patriarch Rai: UAE is a state of united religions and cultures

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Sunday that “the United Arab Emirates is a state of united religions and cultures.

Rai’s comments were made in the first day of his visit to the UAE to participate in the Global Conference for Human Fraternity.

The Patriarch also called for ending all kind of wars and conflicts.

"Humans were not created to live in war, but to live in peace and tranquility," he added.

Rai expressed his admiration for Pope Francis' slogan for his visit to the UAE: "Make me your channel of peace."
