Kuwaiti MP donates money, allocates monthly salary to Georges Zreik’s family

Kuwaiti MP Khalaf Doumeither al-Anazi announced during a phone call with Al-Jadeed TV channel that he will donate 10000 USD to the family of Georges Zreik.

He also announced that a monthly salary will be allocated for his family.

Lebanese citizen Georges Zreik died on Friday of wounds he sustained when he set himself on fire in the courtyard of a school in the town of Bkaftin.

Zreik was protesting against the refusal of the said school to grant him a certificate for his daughter to transfer her to another school, due to dire financial situation and his inability to pay the tuition.

The citizen was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, but he soon died of his wounds.
