Arslan: No solution for refugees crisis without a clear relation with Syria

Head of Lebanese Democratic Party Talal Arslan voiced hopes on Monday that the newly formed Cabinet would face all merits whether on the economic, developmental or social levels, and especially those related to the refugees’ crisis.

Arslan’s comments were made after meeting with President Michel Aoun at the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby he stressed that no solution can be found for the refugees’ crisis "without a clear and explicit relation with Syria."

“We demand a safe and dignified return for the refugees,” he added.

Arslan hoped that the refugees’ dossier would be spared “the vagaries” of local politics since "it is a matter that concerns all Lebanese regardless of their political affiliations."

He also added that Lebanon cannot bear the burden of the Syrian refugees anymore.
