Health Minister Jamil Jabaq explained Tuesday that the recent British decision classifying Hezbollah as a terrorist organization will not have any repercussion on the ministry.
In an interview with Voice of Lebanon radio station, Jabaq said that “his work at the Ministry of Public Health is related to services and has no relation to Hezbollah's internal political and military action.”
He also stressed that all the parties have committed to fighting terrorism, noting that his work at the ministry will be subject to transparency and will seek to serve the interests of the Lebanese people.
