LBCI establishes phone contact with 11 Lebanese detainees in Syria

The detained Lebanese pilgrims in Syria saga continues, as contact was made with some of the kidnapped along with  one of the kidnapper's Abu Ibrahim through a live phone interview with LBCI on Sunday.

Hajj Ali Abbas, one of the detainees blatantly blamed “the one who refuses to apologize” for their demise and detention, pointing the finger indirectly at Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Abbas also expressed discontent with the efforts exerted by the Lebanese government regarding their case so far, dubbing those officials as “failures”. Abbas confirmed that they are located in the rural area of Aleppo, Aazaz before passing the call to another member of the 11 pilgrims.           

Ali Hassan Zgheib, another detained Lebanese citizen called on the government to exert more efforts in their case, adding that they are 11 "people and not numbers", who have families to return to.                   

For his part, Abu Ibrahim, the alleged kidnapper hoped for this issue to soon be resolved adding that he is representing the Syrian people and their cause.

Commenting on the situation, Mona Termos, wife of Ali Termos (one of the detainees) held the state "utterly responsible for its inability to find a solution" in the case of the kidnapped men.
