President Aoun: Refugees must be granted aid in their country

President Michel Aoun met on Friday with head of the Alliance for Peace and Freedom party Roberto Fiore accompanied by a European parliamentary delegation from the party at the Baabda Preidential Palace.

During the meeting, Aoun stressed that work is being done with the International sides for the safe return of the refugees to the safe areas in Syria.

"However, we are confronted by the determination of the international community to give priority to a political solution," he added.

He also stressed importance to provide assistance to the refugees in their country to motivate them to return.

In turn, the European delegation voiced readiness to support the "Human Academy for Convergence and Dialogue" at International forums, mainly the European ones.
